Storm Chase 2009
As we began the chase we saw 'the sign' mammatus clouds! I, along with many of my classmates had never seen such 'textbook' mammatus clouds. They are formed due to a strong updraft which is associated with severe weather such as large hail, strong winds, and possible tornadic activity.
