*Oklahoma City*

Storm Chase 2009

Today we visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.  It was in honor of the Oklahoma City Bombing that killed 178 innocent people.  The museum was the home to personal items of people who past away, their pictures, and portions of the building that was destroyed.  It also had survivor stories, newspaper articles, and television clips.  There were large and small chairs representing each person and child that lost a life.  It was extremely surreal.  There was one surviving tree, American Elm, which represents that we will not be defeated.  It made me be even more thankful for ever breath I am able to take in.

“We come here to remember those who were killed, Those who survive and those changed forever.  May all who leave here know the impact of violence.  May this memorial offer comfort, strength, peace, hope, and serenity.”
